Real estate iPad repair today
A real estate iPad is not a convenience. It is where the signature happens.
Buyer agents at showings, listing agents on intake, photographers reviewing shots before they leave a property, stagers documenting placement, transaction coordinators routing paperwork, open house teams capturing leads. When that device goes down mid-showing, the appointment either pauses or moves to paper, and neither is a good look in front of a client. Brokerages running several devices should start with our field service iPad guide.
The median listing price in Alameda County sat at $922,500 in July 2026. That is roughly the value of the transaction sitting on your iPad at the moment a client goes to sign and the signature box does not register.

Who we work with
Three jobs, three different ways an iPad breaks.
Real estate agents and transaction coordinators
The device is a signature pad first and everything else second. DocuSign and Skyslope at a kitchen counter, live MLS lookups during a showing, CMA presentations at a listing appointment, lead capture at an open house, and transaction paperwork routed from the car between appointments.
What fails- Dead touch zone right where the signature box sits
- Batteries worn down by two-day open house weekends
- Ports packed with pocket lint
What we do: same-day screen, battery, and port repair, and pickup and delivery if you cannot break away from a closing day.
Listing photographers
A harder workflow than most people expect. Tethered review between setups, culling and rating on site before leaving a property, SD card readers plugged and unplugged dozens of times a shoot, and colour judgement made on a screen that has to be trusted.
What fails- Charging ports, faster than anyone else. It is a data port here, not a power port
- Screens, where a scratch stops being cosmetic
- Displays too dim to trust on a sunny exterior
What we do: port cleaning and replacement is our most common photographer repair, and we treat display quality as a functional requirement rather than a cosmetic one.
Stagers and open-house teams
The iPad rides in a tote with hardware, gets set down on every surface in the house, and comes out again to photograph placement for the client and the portfolio.
What fails- Cracked glass from hardwood and tile drops
- Screen damage from tote bags full of brackets and hooks
- Ports packed with supply-bag grit
What we do: same-day screen repair, port cleaning, and a case-and-protector fit that survives an install day. If a device is going into rotation with a new crew member, we will set it up and function-check it before it ships.
How much does it cost, and how long does it take?
Most screen, battery, and charging port repairs are completed the same day. Brokerage and photography accounts get priority intake during business hours, so a device dropped off in the morning is usually ready by closing.
Pricing depends on model and repair, and you get a flat quote before we start. Bulk rates apply when several devices come in together:
- β5 to 9 iPads. Standard discount off consumer pricing, which is where most boutique brokerages land.
- β10 to 24 iPads. Larger fleet discount.
- β25 or more iPads. Best fleet rate.
- βRecurring brokerage account. Priority response and consistent pricing on common repairs.
We provide a written quote within one business day once we know how many devices, which models, and what is failing.
Signs your iPad is about to cost you a showing
The failures that matter in real estate are rarely dramatic. They are the ones that surface at the worst possible moment.
- βA dead touch zone across the bottom of the screen, which is exactly where the signature box sits in DocuSign and Skyslope. The screen looks fine until a client goes to sign, and it is fixed as part of a screen replacement.
- βA charging cable that has to be held at an angle, usually from months of plugging and unplugging between showings. That is charging port wear, and it is repairable.
- βA battery that will not survive an open house weekend, because the device runs all day for two days straight. A battery replacement restores a full day of runtime.
- βPhotos that do not get captured because the screen is unreadable in direct sun during an exterior walk-through.
- βA port full of pocket lint or bag debris, which is the most common failure we see on agent devices.
Photographers have a sharper version of the same problem. Constant cable connection to cameras and SD readers wears the charging port faster than anything else in this line of work, and a port that fails on location means the shoot does not get reviewed before you leave the property.
How it works
Three steps, usually the same day.
Call, book, or walk in
Tell us the model and what is failing. Walk-in is the fastest path at 2171 Doolittle Drive, and most agents are in and out.
Free diagnosis & flat quote
We confirm the problem and give you exact pricing before any work starts. For brokerage fleets, that comes back as a written quote within one business day.
Fixed & guaranteed
Every repaired iPad is function-tested before it goes back to you, with OEM and genuine-grade parts and a 30-day warranty in writing.
Three ways to get it repaired
Pick the option that keeps you in front of clients.
- βSame-day in-shop. Drop off in the morning, collect by closing. Best when you have a gap between appointments.
- βSame-day pickup and delivery, no trip fee. We collect, repair, and return the same day, with no trip fee in San Leandro, San Lorenzo, Hayward, Castro Valley, or Oakland. Best on a listing weekend when you cannot break away.
- βBrokerage fleet service. For offices running several agent iPads, we batch the devices into one scheduled visit so you are not down one at a time.
Written quote within one business day once we know how many devices, which models, and what is failing. No trip fee for pickup and delivery across the East Bay.
What we repair on real estate iPads
We stock parts for the models agents actually carry.
- βCracked screens, glass-only or full bonded assembly depending on model
- βBattery replacement, with swollen batteries treated as a same-day safety priority
- βCharging port cleaning and replacement, the most common repair on both agent and photographer devices
- βSpeaker and microphone cleaning
- βWater and liquid damage diagnostics
- βPre-deployment setup for new agent devices: case, screen protector, and a function check before it goes into rotation
What we will not do
- βWe do not unlock iPads or bypass Activation Lock without verified ownership. If your brokerage has a device locked after an agent left, we will walk you through the legitimate Apple Business Manager path, but we will not go around it.
- βWe do not access your MLS, DocuSign, Skyslope, or CRM accounts. Repairs are hardware only, and chain of custody documentation is available on request.
- βWe do not push a repair when a device should be replaced. If an upgrade is the smarter call, we say so, and our repair or replace calculator will show you the numbers.
- βWe do not quote water damage recovery before inspecting the device.
What East Bay customers say
Real reviews from neighbours and businesses across San Leandro and the East Bay.
"I was visiting the area when my iPad would no longer take a charge. They were near my hotel and I just walked in the door without an appointment. The owner took my phone number and iPad and said he would give me a call. Within two hours he called to let me know it was ready to be picked up."
"James is extremely friendly and highly skilled, he did an amazing job repairing my daughter's iPad and her cell phone. He's respectful, efficient, and his pricing is very affordable. The turnaround time was unbelievably fast!"
"I came in early around 9:30 AM to get my broken camera repaired, and I was out by 10:20 AM, less than an hour!"

Real estate iPad questions
Straight answers from our San Leandro bench.
Can you turn my iPad around during a listing weekend?
Most common repairs are same day. Drop off in the morning and it is usually ready by closing, or we can collect and return it the same day with no trip fee in our service area.
Do you stock parts for the models agents carry?
Yes. iPad Air 4 and 5, iPad Pro 11, and iPad 9th and 10th generation are the most common, and we keep parts for those. We also service iPad Pro 12.9 first through fifth generation, which is what most listing photographers are editing on.
Are bonded displays on Pro models more expensive to repair?
Yes, meaningfully. The display and digitizer are a single bonded assembly on Pro models, so the part costs more than a standard iPad screen. The repair itself is routine, and you get the exact price before we start.
Will my MLS, DocuSign, and CRM logins be safe during the repair?
Yes. We do not sign in to your apps or view client information. Repairs are hardware only, and chain of custody documentation is available on request.
Can my brokerage set up a recurring account?
Yes. Brokerages running five or more iPads can arrange priority response and consistent pricing on common repairs, so you are not requesting a fresh quote every time a device breaks.
My screen works everywhere except where clients sign. Is that fixable?
Yes, and it is one of the most common problems we see on agent devices. A dead touch zone is a digitizer failure, which is repaired as part of a screen replacement.
